A country pavilion is a shared national stand — organised by a trade promotion agency, chamber of commerce, ministry or embassy — that brings several exhibitors from the same country together under one coordinated design at an international trade show. For each participating company, it’s usually a lower-cost way to exhibit abroad than building an independent booth, while still standing out as part of a recognisable national presence.
What a country pavilion booth needs to get right
Coordinating a pavilion is different from building a single booth. The overall structure has to reflect the country’s identity — colours, materials and layout that read clearly as “this is the [Country] pavilion” from across the hall — while still giving each individual exhibitor their own clearly defined space, storage, and branding within it. That means the design has to work at two scales at once: the pavilion as a whole, and each exhibitor’s booth inside it.
Typical elements we plan for on a pavilion project:
- A shared entrance, signage and common areas that carry the national branding
- Individual exhibitor booths, sized and positioned to the organiser’s allocation
- Shared meeting or hospitality space for delegation events
- One point of contact managing timelines across every participating company, so no single exhibitor’s changes delay the rest of the pavilion
Managing multiple exhibitors under one deadline
The hardest part of a country pavilion isn’t the booth design — it’s coordination. Different companies often confirm their requirements, graphics, and final headcounts at different times, and the whole pavilion still has to be ready for one shared build-up window. Our project managers act as a single point of contact for the delegation organiser, collecting requirements from each exhibitor and keeping the build on one schedule instead of many.
Why Choose Maverick?
If your delegation includes companies that also need larger standalone space within the pavilion — a flagship exhibitor with its own footprint, for example — that booth can be scoped separately through our Custom Booths or Double-Deck Booths pages while still sitting inside the shared pavilion design.
