Custom Exhibition Stand Builders in Utrecht

Utrecht sits in the middle of the country, next to a major station, with a fairground designed around vehicles driving straight into the halls. For anyone who has fought a city-centre build, Jaarbeurs is a relief: room to unload, room to work, and build windows that are not measured in hours. It is the most practical venue in the Netherlands, and the shows reflect that — construction, vehicles, recreation and education, all of them exhibit-heavy.

That freedom is worth using. Designs that would be impossible in a constrained hall — full-height structures, working demonstrations, real vehicles on the stand — are routine here, provided the contractor knows the country and plans the logistics properly.

The Venue — and What It Allows

Jaarbeurs Utrecht

One of the largest fairgrounds in the Netherlands and the most versatile. Several halls take vehicles directly, which is why the construction and motoring shows live here. Ceiling heights and column spacing are generous by Dutch standards, and the build-up periods are usually longer than at RAI — meaning more can be assembled on site, and more ambitious structures become viable.

Rail access from Utrecht Centraal is exceptional, which matters for visitor numbers and for your own stand team. Hall services are ordered through Jaarbeurs on published deadlines; we file those as part of installation and set-up.

Beatrix Theater and Supernova

Congress and presentation venues on the same site, used for conference-led events where the stand is a meeting space rather than a display. Short build windows, high finish expectations.

Shows Worth Building Properly For

  • BouwBeurs — the Dutch construction industry’s main event; machinery, materials and full-scale demonstrations.
  • Vakantiebeurs — travel and tourism, with destination pavilions setting a high visual standard in January.
  • Motorbeurs Utrecht — motorcycles and equipment; vehicle display and floor protection drive the layout.
  • Onderwijs and professional fairs — high-throughput stands designed for continuous short conversations.

What Building in Utrecht Actually Involves

  • Use the drive-in access properly. If your exhibit rolls, plan the stand around driving it in — not around carrying it in through a door.
  • Longer build windows change the design. More on-site assembly time means larger, more ambitious structures are feasible than at a constrained venue.
  • Floor protection is not optional. Vehicles and heavy plant require proper platform and covering specification, agreed with the venue.
  • Central logistics, national reach. Utrecht’s position makes it the natural base for a multi-venue Dutch season — short runs to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Maastricht.

Because it is so central, we often build the season’s structure for Utrecht first and redeploy it onwards to Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Same stand, refreshed graphics, a fraction of the cost of three builds.

How We Work

Concept and 3D visual from our design team, priced against your real floor plan. Production in our own workshops, transport, installation under supervision, dismantle and storage.

Why Maverick Rather Than a Local Subcontractor

We design for the hall you actually have. Drive-in access and generous height are opportunities, and most stand designs waste them.

Our own production. Consistent quality, dry-fitted before it ships.

On-site authority. A project manager present throughout the build.

One standard everywhere. The same stand across every venue in your season.

Utrecht Stand Questions, Answered

Can we drive a vehicle onto the stand?

In the drive-in halls, yes — this is one of Jaarbeurs’ real advantages. It requires floor protection, a suitable platform specification and an agreed route and timing with the venue, all of which we arrange.

How far ahead should we book?

Six to eight weeks is workable for a mid-sized custom stand. For BouwBeurs and Vakantiebeurs, three to four months is safer — both concentrate demand for crew and transport.

Is Utrecht cheaper than Amsterdam?

Usually, yes — for build logistics rather than for the stand itself. Easier access, longer windows and simpler transport mean fewer labour hours. See exhibition stand builders in the Netherlands for how a full season prices out.
